What would you like to take to the next level? I have helped people in Denver and around the country, using hypnosis, to improve sports performance to achieve higher levels of performance. Some have gone on to join the professional ranks.
We have known about the link between the mental aspect of sports performance and the performance itself. As far back as 1932, studies were done which showed that when people imagined doing a physical activity, the muscles that would actually be used in that activity contracted.
Then in 1976, it was discovered that mental imagery could actually cause neural growth. And more recently, functional magnetic resonance imagery (fMRI) studies have shown that imagery lights up the same pathways in the brain as the actual performance would. In recent years, there have been well over 200 studies on the positive effect of imagery on athletic performance. For more information on how hypnotherapy has been applied to many sports, click here
Of course, this is all very well known, and all of the top athletes and professional teams use the techniques that I teach. I can teach them to you.
Tiger Woods started working with a hypnotherapist when he was 13. Excellence in any sport becomes a mind game after the body has been trained. You have worked hard, training your body to do what it needs to do. After that, it really is mental. Arnie Palmer said that golf is a game of 3″: the distance between the right ear and the left ear. So true, and I’m not just talking about golf. Excellence, in sports or in any area of life is about getting your head together. That’s what I teach.
I always provide a consultation at no cost, in order to determine if hypnosis is right for you.
